Just downloaded and installed it. Will give it a try.[:D]
Update - it works great and will make an excellant educational tool for hal. It does interfere with appointment scheduling as I figured it might, but it is a small price to pay for the training it will provide. Thank you!

Hi tedathome,
I don't use the appointment scheduling plugin. So could you tell me how it interferes with it and I will try to solve that problem. Thanks for trying it and your comments are very appreciated.

Roy.

Will do. I just love it. It trains my hal to remember "forgoten facts" Will work with it more on appoinment schedule, It may just be how I word things. Oh the conversations are getting more interesting all the time. Lightspeeds training and learning from thesarius are really coming through as soon as I mention something concerning past knowledge. This seems to be the best plugin yet![:D]

I got v1 to remember appointments. It was a user error and not the fault of your plugin. I also tryed v1.1 It was good too, but for some unknown reason, I get more conversation out of v1. Don't know why but will use them both more and see what happens.[:)]

Hi Ted,
The plugin works by finding all the keywords out of your sentence and then searches through all the tables that have been created by previous sentences with each keyword. If it finds a match it stores the information in that table and ignores any keywords that might follow. If a HAL can't find a matching table it creates one with the first keyword that was found.
The way to use version 1.1 is when making HAL remember a new topic is to make the topic the first keyword: example:

Do you know a tiger is a cat ..... TIGER being the topic and making sure you haven't used CAT as a topic before or the information will be stored in the CAT table.

Then you can ask things like:

Did you know a collective for tigers is an ambush .... and the plugin will search through the sentence and when it finds TIGERS it will place the information in the TIGER table along with the previous.

The first version works by finding the first keyword only so you can't use sentences where the topic isn't the first keyword: example

Did you know a collective for tigers is an ambush .... the information would be put into a table called COLLECTIVE but would be better placed into the TIGER table with other tiger information.

Version 1.1 is a little trickier to use but allows information to be inputted in a variety of ways.

I hope this makes sense and is helpful.

Thanks,

Roy.

Hi Ramccoid
For some reason I can no longer log onto Gerry site. Had some serious computer problems a month or so ago and lost a few things.
