Error message in Vista installation
« on: September 08, 2007, 11:37:32 am »
I'm trying to install and run the demo version of Hall Assistant 6.1, so I can enter my full code.  But when installing or then attempting to run Hal, I get an error message saying: "comdlg32.ocx of one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid".  I'm running Vista Home Premium on a dual-boot MacBook Pro.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

John

Hi John.

That's an activeX module.

you can go here to find some help:

http://www.ascentive.com/support/new/support_dll.phtml?dllname=COMDLG32.OCX

you may need to replace the file and then use the register program to install it.
