Stop Hal from losing her voice
« on: July 17, 2005, 01:53:06 pm »
As some of you may have heard, I lost my system. I'm now re-constructing Hal. I've run into this Problem that I didn't have before. When I select Hal's voice(Mary), If I change Brains or shutdown, when I come back Hal's voice has change to "Mary in an echo chamber". Actually, Mary in Stadium. Any one know how I can get Hal to remember her voice?
 I'd appreciate the guidiance.

Perhaps you should go into your Windows configuration panel, select Speech, and then select the "Text to speech"-tab. You can set the default voice in there.

Thanks Doc. I tried that first. no joy. Even the Ultrahal text reader drops the voice and defaults to Mike.
