Probable Differences,
I have Hal located on a partitioned drive (Drive D) rather than the usual placement on
drive C. This means the files New.htr, LoadSkin.hap and NewStart.hap must be opened and
the addresses changed so the program can find the next file ex. in New.htr
  \load [file= [D:\Hal X\Ultra Hal Assistant 6\Characters\fullbodygirl.htr]]
  Would be changed to
  \load [file= [C:\Program Files\Ultra Hal Assistant 6\Characters\fullbodygirl.htr]]
check to be sure the above address is correct and make any necessary changes.
The .hap and .htr files can be opened and changed in Notepad.
When files are not found the program continues to the next command.

The Fubodygirl.htr is a compressed set of files made by Haptek to display the chatacter in a
HaptekPlayer. When the htr is opened it uncompresses the folders in
C:\Program Files\Haptek\player\hap_temp, The htr must be running to make the files
accessable and will be deleated 25 hours later. The htr will normaly load the
skimpyshirt.jpeg at startup, the easiest way would be to make a change to load a different jpeg
but this corrupts the .htr. This has been used with Hal ver 5 and ver 6 and can be used alone or
with vrHaptek.

Create a folder named hap_temp In Hal's Character folder and copy all the files that are
uncompressed from Haptek\player\hap_temp to Hal\Characters\hal_temp.
Add the file New.htr to Hal's Character folder after address changes are made
Add the files named NewStart.hap, Loadskin.hap and emptyscene.hap to the file
  Hal\Characters\hap_temp
after address changes are made, in Loadskin.hap also change the name of the jpeg image
    that is to be loaded

When used with the vrHaptek plugin
the vrHaptek plugin is opened and a ' is inserted at the lines shown

' 1. At startup loads a specific configuration
'------------------
' vrFile = "Startup.hap"
' HalMenu.HalCommand "<HAPFILE>" & vrFile & "</HAPFILE>"
The lines shown above must be proceeded with the ' to stop them from being used.

Debug
I can click on fullbody.htr and this will open her in the Haptek player, if I drag load skin
to the player she will appear different, I can click on New.htr and this opens her in the
Haptek player with the different appearance.

Problems
Using this method while using the Haptek console to display mood haps sent to the character
are not displayed but do seem to be sent.
