I have a creative idea to add some effects to People Putty. Under the "Misc, jewelry, decorations, wounds" option, i think i can add effects here. The images and settings can be found in this folder ...
C:\Program Files\Haptek\PeoplePutty\environment\interfaces\DRAFT\ exaccessories\Layer\Jewelry
For example, to age a face, there are these images, old_rgb.jpg and old_alf.jpg ...

 And in the jewelry.txt file are these settings ...
Layer= Name= old File= old_rgb.jpg File= old_alf.jpg Icon= oldicon.jpg MaxDeltaAlpha= 0 MinDeltaAlpha= -255 TargetRes= 512, 512 Offset= 0, 109 BaseMatchColorFlag= 0
It should be easy to add some custom images, and add settings for them, except i don't know how to create the "alf" image. Anyone have any tips on how to do this, or which software will create such an image from the "rgb" image?
Thanks Davy

I did some more testing, and was somewhat able to duplicate the "alf" effect by converting an image to black and white, then to a negative image. Here is my first experiment ...

I have also learned how to add more "hoods" to People Putty in the form of skin texture images. The possibilities are only limited by my imagination. |
